This project represents an essential element in the RADCOM product suite of the Aeronautical
Technologies Research Laboratory (LITA).
Aeromet 2 provides airports with a continuous, real-time monitoring solution for various meteorological variables
essential for takeoff and landing operations. To do this, it concentrates data from multiple sensors placed on the
runways to process and project them onto configurable displays in control towers and air traffic control centers
(ATC).
In this project, the convergence of web technologies with lower-level technologies provides a
delightful experience that goes beyond the technical field. When you work with technologies such as
C++, meteorological sensors deployed on runways, radio communication
and network devices, we feel that the perception that software is usually something intangible is
changing. We begin to see how the code materializes in physical actions that have a high impact on critical operations.
